The Rainbow

My heart leaps up when I behold

A rainbow in the sky:

So was it when my life began,

So is it now I am a man,

So be it when I shall grow old

      Or let me die!

The Child is father of the Man:

And I could wish my days to be

Bound each to each by natural piety.”

                                  William Wordsworth

  1. The photograph and Wordsworth’s poem were beautiful, Kim. Did you see my partial rainbow I wrote about yesterday? ❤ It made me think of all I have left to accomplish and "unfinished business." 🙂

    • No, Robin, I will try to get over there to see. We’re leaving from Florida to go back home so I’m writing in the car. Thank you for your compliment. I scheduled posts before I left, and Wordsworrh is one of my favorite poets. This is from a very, very old leather bound edition on my library shelf. Truly a treasure.

    • Thankyou for allowing me to share this lovely poem with you, Raj. We are blessed to have words such as these from, Wordsworth, and I was fortunate to discover this fabulous photograph. Thank you so very much for your heartfelt compliment, Raj. What a special person you are! Blessings. 🙏🏻😊❤️
