    • I have no words as you said them perfectly. Thank you for stamping your thumbprint onto the quote of Hosea Ballou. Only hoping more of us will be conscious of our ‘words’ while going about our daily oblivion. Myself, included. Blessings. 🙂

    • So right you are, Dan. We are all truly ‘innocents’ when coming naked into this Godly world. The listening of others is what forms our opinions and souls, often forevermore. Thank you for reading together with your insightful comment. Blessings to you, Dan.

    • Oh, “wise” Aristotle, indeed! I try to ‘watch’ what I say, but I’ve already slipped here and there. Minor words in the grand scheme of life, but regretting them afterwords. Thank you so much for reading, Sally. Love and blessings to you.

  1. I like this photo which reminds me of Donna Reed and Mrs. Cleaver. The fun part is the children being ‘trusted’ with chocolate cake, brownie or frosting while her back is turned.
I do feel this is a very important message but had to tell you what ‘ran through my head’ first, Kim! Smiles, Robin

    • Totally understand, Robin. I felt the same way. Still, I thought the picture fit the quote perfectly. We must all think before we speak. ‘Little Ones’ are forever listening to each and every word. Love to you, Robin. Joyful week ahead. 🙂

  2. That is a great picture Kim, imagine a lovely dressed mother wearing an apron, talking on the phone while her healthy happy children help with baking, in today’s society.
More like a mother in a Macca’s restaurant chastising her kids over french fries and big Mac’s today.
The old days had charm as well as good healthy honest living.

    • Oh, to go back to the ‘good old days.’ Still, I’m sure ‘Mom’ said things even back then that were not necessarily meant for young children to hear. Thanks so much for reading and commenting, Emu. Special week to you and your family too. 🙂
